The winds of winter also came to North Carolina State University, House Sigma Nu where Chef Rick and Chef Jose got in on the fun ahead of the season opener. They researched food that would have been eaten in Europe in the 1500's era to highlight the cuisine of Westeros. Their feast included Riverrun bacon planked trout, King's Landing royal roast duck with honey cherry glaze, Free Folk mushroom salad with arugula and roasted leek dressing, spiced squash with onions, Castle Black beef and bacon pies with onion jam and an Old Town sweet brown bread.
